Dr. Jane Liao graduated cum laude from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor’s of Bioengineering. She later received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003. She interned with Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento, and the American Lake VA Medical Center in Washington, which contributed to her proficiency in early detection of conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetes, and hypertension.
California State licensed optometrist and board-certified to treat glaucoma and certain eye diseases and conditions with ocular pharmaceutical agents.
Dr. Liao has experience in fitting many types of contact lenses, and she is certified in Paragon Corneal Refractive Therapy (Ortho-K) for myopia control.
She is passionate about serving and caring for her patients and strives to deliver the best eye care possible to help them achieve comfortable vision on their everyday visual needs.
Away from the office, Dr. Liao enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cycling and hiking. She is fluent in Portuguese from Brazil and conversant in Mandarin Chinese and clinical Spanish.
