Our Doctors

​​​​​Dr. Stella Levin has graduated from San Francisco State University with two Bachelor degrees, in Physiology and Psychology. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from UC Berkeley, School of Optometry in 2003. As an optometry student, Dr. Levin participated in school vision screenings and delivered free eye care to the underprivileged communities. She completed externships at San Francisco and Palo Alto Veterans Affairs Medical Centers where she received valuable clinical training in diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases, inflammation, trauma, retinopathy, and cataracts.

Upon graduation, she gained unique exposure by teaching optometry interns while working at La Clinica De La Raza in Oakland and also enhanced her clinical Spanish. Throughout her optometry career, she has been providing family eye care in both large and small/private practice settings.

California State licensed and board-certified in the treatment of glaucoma and the use of ocular pharmaceutical agents, Dr. Levin’s training and experience allow her to diagnose, treat, and manage or co-manage a variety of eye conditions. Her interests in optometry include primary care, myopia control, contact lenses, and pathology. She is certified in Paragon Corneal Refractive Therapy (Ortho-K), Euclid Ortho-K, MiSight, and is a member of the COLA network for Refractive surgeries (Lasik, PRK).

Dr. Levin has been living in the city of Fremont for the past 24 years and is happy to provide vision care in her local community. She speaks fluent Russian, English, and clinical Spanish.
In her spare time, Dr. Levin spends her time with her husband and two kids. She enjoys reading historical fiction books, playing with her cats, gardening, traveling, skiing, and watching movies.

​​​​​Dr. Jane Liao graduated cum laude from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor’s of Bioengineering. She later received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003. She interned with Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento, and the American Lake VA Medical Center in Washington, which contributed to her proficiency in early detection of conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetes, and hypertension.

California State licensed optometrist and board-certified to treat glaucoma and certain eye diseases and conditions with ocular pharmaceutical agents. 

Dr. Liao has experience in fitting many types of contact lenses, and she is certified in Paragon Corneal Refractive Therapy (Ortho-K) for myopia control. 

She is passionate about serving and caring for her patients and strives to deliver the best eye care possible to help them achieve comfortable vision on their everyday visual needs.

Away from the office, Dr. Liao enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cycling and hiking.  She is fluent in Portuguese from Brazil and conversant in Mandarin Chinese and clinical Spanish.  

​​​​​Dr. Karin Woo Rardin earned her B.S. in Applied Behavioral Science from the University of California, Davis, M.A. in Marriage in Family Ministries from Talbot School of Theology, and Doctor of Optometry from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry.  Her clinical training includes experience at Palo Alto and Oakland Veterans Affairs Hospitals, and University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Rardin has worked in private practice settings in the Tri-Cities of Fremont, Newark, and Union City, as well as other Bay Area practices. She has attended to patients of all ages with attention to excellent patient care and education, particularly in contact lens fittings, computer vision, and in co-management of cataract and refractive surgeries.

As a Bay Area native and a Tri-City resident for more than 20 years, Dr. Rardin is grounded in the local community with her husband, son, and two daughters. She enjoys time with family and friends, attending and volunteering with her church, eating ethnic foods, reading, traveling, tennis, and watching movies and the Warriors play.

​​​​​Dr. Mansi Jaitly is a dedicated optometrist with a strong academic background and a passion for eye care. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago before graduating magna cum laude from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2023. Throughout her training, Dr. Jaitly gained extensive hands-on experience through externships at various MD/OD practices, where she was trained in the treatment and management of a wide range of ocular diseases.

Dr. Mansi Jaitly is a dedicated optometrist with a strong academic background and a passion for eye care. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago before graduating magna cum laude from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2023. Throughout her training, Dr. Jaitly gained extensive hands-on experience through externships at various MD/OD practices, where she was trained in the treatment and management of a wide range of ocular diseases.

With a particular interest in dry eye management, Dr. Jaitly has worked in a corporate setting for 1.5 years in Berkeley, California, where she honed her skills in providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Fluent in both Hindi and English, she is committed to delivering high-quality eye care and ensuring the best possible outcomes for her patients. She finds fulfillment in ensuring her patients leave with a smile. 

​​​​​Dr. Melanie Zhang immigrated from China when she was in her teens. She attended UC Berkeley for undergraduate studies and double majored in Molecular Cell Biology and Business Administration. After doing healthcare consulting for a year, she decided to become an Optometrist and attended the UC Berkeley School of Optometry, graduating with Honors in 2012.

She then joined the US Air Force, practicing in a large military hospital in Texas. There, she developed special interests in dry eye therapy, contact lenses, LASIK management, and ocular diseases management. She has since practiced in many places with a focus in contact lens fitting and myopia control. 

As a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, Dr. Zhang keeps up with the latest technology and research in vision sciences in order to better serve her patients. She is fluent in Mandarin and can speak clinical Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities, movies and spending time with her husband and 2 kids.
